I have fostered and rescued several dogs and cats and would have kept them all if I could! My love for pets started when I was a kid growing up in a home where our cats and dogs were treated like family members. My experience includes giving oral medication as well as eye drops, ear drops and topical treatments. Delighted to provide lots of love and send pics/videos to parents while taking care of their babies. I’m also happy to bring in mail/packages, put trash/recycle out, unpack any meal kit deliveries, and water plants or any other duties as needed while house-sitting. Your home and pets will be treated with the greatest amount of respect and care. Overnights for pet and house sitting are no problem as my roommate takes care of my two dachshunds. Happy to provide multiple client references upon request.

I'm always keen on learning about a dog's personality and preferences from their parents. If there are triggers (kids, other dogs, thunder) that usually cause negative or fearful behavior I make a note.
A typical day
Walks in their own neighborhood are always fun because I feel like dogs are giving me a tour of their area. :) I like to see what toys dogs pick out and figure out what commands or tricks they know. Basically any reason to play, pet or give them treats.

Availability
Teaching just a few hours a day Monday through Thursday this semester. Outside of that I have one-hour meetings occasionally and do one-hour yoga classes daily.
