I am so excited for the opportunity to care for your baby! I’ve had a dog, cat, or both since I was little, so I know what it means for fur babies to be family and to want them loved, safe, and well cared for when you’re away. I have taken care of pets, including dogs, cats, goats, sheep, cows, and horses for 25+ years. I have always had a pet of my own who I was responsible for since I was in first grade. I’ve had to provide medical care to a lame prior racing horse— cleaning, washing, and applying bandages and medicine to his foot while his owner was out of the country. I’ve also cared long-term for my elderly chihuahua, Bungee, who took medication for congestive heart failure and for my elderly cat, Jaq, with renal failure who had to be hand-fed for a few months before she passed. I currently have one large white dog, Caliber (Lab/Pyrenees mix), who was a rescue and a couple of large calico kittens, Cider and Oogs. My dog is an outside-ish dog and stays in our temperature controlled garage with a fence-less perimeter around our home due to the road and creek proximity. He has his own tempurpedic mattress and enjoys long days snuggling daddy’s feet in his office (my husband works remotely). The cats are litter box trained and have their own large room for days I board a potentially cat-aggressive pup.
