Going on vacation? Maybe you got stuck at the office and your dog needs to pee. Unable to walk or feed your dog? That's why I'm here! I have been taking care of dogs (alone) since I was eight. The first family whose pets I cared for lived down the street from me and I was close with the girl that was about my age. They saw how I treated their pets and how much love I had for them. I was always concerned about their dogs and taking care of them even though the family was around. When I got to an old enough age, they asked me if I could dog-sit while they were away. They had two dogs, a chihuahua and a medium sized dog that was an unknown mix of breeds. Since I lived just a few houses down the street from them, I was able to do drop-in visits and overnight stays - whatever they needed from me. During my care time, I would feed them, play with them (both inside and outside), take them for walks, brush their fur and teeth, and let them out for "potty breaks". In addition to formal visits, the family would also call or text me in a spur of the moment "We got hung up at the office. Can you please check on the dogs?" situation. I cared for their dogs for over 5 years and they eventually adopted a hamster, a cat, and fish over time. I managed to provide proper care for all of their pets every time they asked me to. Despite being close with the family and being familiar with their house, I always respected their privacy, property, and policies. When I was even younger, about five years old, I was in a wilderness group that went on hikes and camping trips with other families. There was one family that always brought a dog with them. Noticing how much I stared and smiled at their dog, they let me walk him (who easily had 50 lbs on me) on hikes and allowed me to play fetch and other games with him at the campsite and ever since then I was asked to walk other dogs of other families because they had a high energy dog and they just couldn't keep up. Recently, one of my friends was dog-sitting her friend's dog and a family event conflicted with one of the days she was caring for the dog. The dog was less than a year old and couldn't be left alone for long, so she asked me if I could watch the dog for her the day that she couldn't. Over the past few years I have made even more friends who all have one or more dogs, varying in breed, age, size, and health concerns. I am always one of the first people they call when they need a dog-sitter. Since joining Rover in 2017, I have cared for 91 dogs, 23 cats, 10 chickens, six parakeets, two bunnies, two guinea pigs, one hedgehog, one hamster, one mouse, one gecko, and more than 10 aquatic animals through Rover alone, with many repeat clients. Outside of Rover I have cared for 20+ dogs, 6 cats, one hamster, and one fish - all ranging from the tiniest chihuahua to the largest great dane with various health complications and a wide range of ages and energy levels. I have had multiple repeat clients hire me again both through the app and privately because of my excellent service and kind nature. A repeat client of mine also asked me to care for their 10-month-old child after two years of pet sitting for them. I am a huge dog lover and I guarantee that I will provide excellent service. I will walk your pets, feed them, groom them, clean up after them, play with them, and shower them with love and affection. I will even provide pictures and video of your dogs if you wish and if anything goes wrong or I suspect that there may be something wrong with your pet, I will call the vet and provide the necessary care. My rates are low, but my heart is big. I even provide transportation if a dog taxi is all you need! And with your permission, I would love to take your dog(s) to the dog park!
