Pet care experience
I am an elementary physical education teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School. I recently moved back to Michigan after serving in Oregon for a year as an AmeriCorps member. I worked for Rover in OR and gained a lot of experience that built on my long history with dogs. I've watched my neighbors' and aunts' dogs (and cats) of all sizes and breeds ever since I was 10 years old, and I've never met a dog I didn't like or that didn’t like me. I like to keep the dogs active by playing outside or going on long walks, but can adjust to the dog's activity level. I also love snuggles...lots of snuggles. Basically, if you want someone to love your dog while you're gone, it's me.

Haley was a great sitter! Super friendly, updated me on my dog's stay, and let me know far ahead of time when we needed to change pickup times.
Astro has a great time with Haley. She is a great communicator and I never worried when Astro was with her. She made sure he got plenty of exercise and left my home spotless and Astro happy and tired. I will definitely work with Haley again!

My apartment complex doesn't allow certain breeds, so there are some restrictions on dogs that I could have in my home, but I would be willing to bend the rules if there are no behavior issues I would have to worry about (i.e. barks frequently, aggressive with other dogs, etc.).
A typical day
I like to play fetch, and go on walks/runs with the dog(s) staying with me, depending on their energy levels and activity needs. I live in an area close to several parks, so they would be easily reached by side streets. I also would love to take the dog(s) for car rides if allowed, or if the dog(s) enjoy them.
