Ever since I was born, I’ve always had dogs. My father was a breeder and our backyard had over 20 dogs. I spent my time growing up caring, feeding, medicating, and training them. Even to this day, I help my father breed and care for his dogs. I know how to give CPR, how to make healthy doggy treats, and how to calm an anxious dog down. Growing up and having so many dogs, there were fights. I know how to properly disfusse a situation and I know how to help a wounded dog. I can tell by observing if a dog is stressed, aggressive, upset, or sick. I always make sure the dogs are comfortable. I’ve learned over the years that it’s not always the dog that needs to adapt, it’s us. If you have a dog that is hyper and wants to play for 3 hours straight, that’s exactly what we’re gonna do. If you have a dog that is laid back and wants to just nap on the couch, then we will. If you have a dog that is needy and wants constant affection, then fine by me. Doesn’t bother me one bit. I even care for special needs dogs. Every dog deserves to be cared for.
