Our experience with Hailey started off great. She was responsive, sent lots of pictures, and took Penny for hikes. However, one irresponsible action led to cancelling the remainder of the stay. We explained to Hailey that it was very important to keep Penny on a leash at all times as she has escape tendencies. We also told her of a previous experience where a Rover sitter lost Penny in the foothills because they let her off leash. With this information, Hailey still made the decision to let Penny off the leash getting out of her car resulting in her running away. Hailey searched for Penny and was still willing to watch her after she was found the next morning. When I informed her that I felt more comfortable leaving her in the care of someone else she understood and even dropped off Penny’s things to the new sitter’s home for us. However when we picked Penny up three days later it came to our attention that Hailey failed to give our new sitter her leash. The fact that she forgot such an important piece made us feel that she did not see the importance of it. While we understand that things happen we feel as though this entire situation could have been avoided had Hailey listened to our instructions.

Hailey was absolutely fantastic with my dog! She updated me with photos and took my dog for hikes (giving me the best photos that I have of my camera shy pupper). It's clear that Hailey cares about every dog she cares for--so much so that my dog was sad to leave! Thank you so much for being such a welcoming and loving dog sitter!
