Hello fur-parents! First thing you should know about me is that I am utterly dog obsessed. It all started when I got my first dog, a Yorkie, at 8-years-old. I got him under the condition I trained and cared for him solely, he became my main priority. My freshman year of high school I started volunteering at my local ASPCA because I enjoyed caring for my own dog so much. While volunteering I realized how desperately these dogs needed companionship. Seeing how I was only one person I got my entire cross country team to come to the ASPCA once a week after practice to play and run with the dogs. Years later, while I was volunteering, I fell in love with a Pitbull-Jack Russel and decided to adopt him. Training a larger, extremely energetic dog was more challenging but 2 years later he is the sweetest, most well behaved mush you will ever meet. I am now a college student at the University at Buffalo and unfortunately decided against bringing my 2 dogs; I did not want to put them through the stress of being up-rooted from the rest of the family and switching between 2 homes several times a year. I decided to sign up for Rover to give other dogs the undivided love and attention I so desperately miss giving my own pups.
