Boarding with a backyard!
Pet care experience
Experienced Rover sitter (6+ years) from Denver, Colorado ready to set up services in Portland, Oregon! As a proud pet parent, I understand how important it is to have a trusted sitter and a safe boarding option for trips. We are centrally located off MLK and Fremont, convenient to the airport or mountains. I believe a tired dog is a happy dog, with my two dogs you can feel reassured that the dogs will have a blast together! Meet and greets are a great way to introduce ourselves and get an idea of how I can best support you and your furry babies. During our meet and greet or online pre-screening I will ask you about your dog(s) routine. What does a normal day look like, what cues does your dog give to their needs, what are the keywords your dog knows. I will also need to guarantee our dogs will be safe around one another. My number one priority is our (yours and mine) dogs safety. When we go for walks the dogs will be leashed. I also separate my dog from yours for meal times - we don’t need anyone getting territorial over food.
Reviews
Hailey is great! We always feel comfortable and confident leaving Rosie with her. She is a good communicator and sends lots of pictures! Absolutely recommend her!
Hailey was an amazing sitter for my dog Timothy. He had an extended stay, and I was confident he was happy and cared for the entire time I was gone. She communicated well and sent lots of great photos. Highly recommend!
Hailey was a fantastic sitter. She took such good care of our puppies, and I can tell from the photos that they truly had a fantastic time. Highly highly recommend.
Hailey did an amazing job taking care of our pup! Her and her two dogs are awesome and Max came home happy and tired! We will definitely be booking with her again!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is a huge priority in my pet care. I have a fenced backyard, and continue to remain present while dogs are outside. If your pup is an "escape artist", please let me know! Mishka is still a pup and crated when I'm away. If your dog needs a crate to be safe, please bring one with you. We have plenty of space for crates. The cat's litter box is in a room with a baby gate; keeping the pups away from the treasures inside.

Information Hailey B. would like to know about your pet
I do like to know about your preferences as I think it is important to maintain routines when your pet(s) are with us. Some questions I will ask include: - Does your dog take medication or have allergies? - Is your dog allowed on furniture? - When no one is home, does your dog have free range of the home or restrictions (crate, stays in kitchen, etc)? - Can your dog(s) wait 8.5 hours for a potty break? (if your stay overlaps a work day for me)
A typical day
I love dogs - we will play, go for walks, and, of course, cuddle! I believe a tired dog is a happy dog - so I will try to wear out the pups! It is also imperative to get photos and videos to send back to you (the parents). The worst part about leaving is not having your dogs with you. So I will show you that the pups are happy and safe!

Availability
At this time, I work at a hospital 4 days/week, which includes every other weekend. I am unable to get home to let dogs go potty when I am at work. With that said; please let me know if your pet can last 8+ hours without care. I can check my schedule to determine if your requested dates overlap with my work schedule. Starting in November, I'll be working 12 hour shifts but less often. Should your dates overlap with my work schedule, I'll let you know. Someone will be coming to let the dogs out on these days. On days I do work, we play hard before I go in for my shift. Sometimes we go to Irving Park, sometimes we throw a ball or frisbee in the yard. The kids also get a later breakfast and dinner on days I work, but we try to maintain schedules on my off days as well. When on off days we have more opportunities to play and explore, including leashed walks and more ball/frisbee play. My pup Mishka is just over a year old and loves to play!
