Reliable & Experienced Dog Sitter
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Hadley: dog-lover and new-ish to Boston. I grew up with two dogs so I've got a lifetime of experience with caring for any age--puppy to senior citizen. Although my dogs are miniature poodles, I also love big dogs! I moved to Boston in 2016 to start at BC Law and I definitely miss my pups. I have two miniature poodles (who live at home with my parents) and an overall fascination with dogs. I also used to babysit my neighbors kids when they went out to dinner or even away on a long weekend. This combined love and experience with animals as well as a proven ability to responsibly house-sit for extended periods of time makes me an ideal choice for a pet sitter. Since I know some may be worried by the idea of inviting a stranger to watch their dog at home, I'm more than happy to stop by and introduce myself beforehand to make sure it's a good fit! Please don't hesitate to call me directly too--I understand that everyone has a busy schedule and may not have time for a visit. Before you book your visit with me, please note that I am currently a law student with a busy schedule. As such, I have a lot of flexibility during the week and am often available on short notice, if necessary. However, I may not be consistently available as exams approach at the end of the semester. Why I love dog sitting I loved growing up with two miniature poodles, Katie (17!) and Ollie (12). Before my dad allowed me to get Katie when I was in 3rd grade, I memorized The Dog Encyclopedia cover to cover! I was pretty determined to be well-informed and to show my dad that I was ready for a pooch of my own. My experience administering medication: As long as I'm provided with detailed instructions and as long as your dog is agreeable throughout the process. My previous experience with dogs & medication ranges from administering dietary supplements via a syringe into a medium sized dog's mouth to being very sneaky about getting dogs to take their medicine with their food (hint: lots of peanut butter or a rolled-up slice of turkey).
Reviews
Hadley was trustworthy, kind, attentive and really a pleasure to interact with. She did a great job taking care of our cats while away.
Mia loves spending time with Hadley, and I always feel comfortable leaving Mia in her care. Hadley has watched Mia while I'm at work during the day a few times, mostly at her apartment, and Mia always comes back happy and tuckered out. On other days, Hadley has been my trusty dog walker while I'm at work. We're trying to get Mia used to the idea of being in her crate some days by herself, and I asked Hadley to come by at various times throughout the day to keep her company and let her out. Each time, Hadley texted me with updates and pictures. When Mia is with Hadley, I know she's in good hands. BONUS: Since I'm a first time dog owner and Hadley has a lot of experience with dogs, she's been able to give me many puppy training tips which I truly appreciate!
Great puppy sitter who is flexible and super accommodating!
Hadley takes such good care of my dog Tula! She's very prompt, always confirms with my schedule when I go out of town and is great about taking photos and checking in. I would definitely recommend her!

Information Hadley H. would like to know about your pet
I would simply like to know if there are certain quirks about your dog that might be helpful for me to know about beforehand. For example, Ollie loves to be held on his back like a baby, but Katie would absolutely freak out if someone tried to do this to her. Or, Ollie prefers belly rubs and Katie can't refuse a good ear scratch. What are your dogs preferences for people? other dogs? treats? walks?
