Pet care experience
My mother taught me how to care for pets as a child. Growing up in Virginia taught me a lot too. Cows, squirrels, snakes, turtles, birds, rabbits, cats and dogs just to name a few. For about 3 years I provided hospice care for older animals in my home for the SPCA. Your pet will have my undivided attention since I only take pets from one family at a time. Every pet is a new friend to me. I will take extra care that they will feel that way about me too.

This was our 1st time using River and Gyvel was the perfect person to start with. Very good communication before dropping Finn off to make us comfortable. Was very kind when we arrived and made us confident that Finn would be in good hands. Sent pictures a number of times thru the day and made sure Finn had a good experience. Highly recommend using Gyvel if you are in Key West and want to explore!
Gyvel was amazing. Very responsive and you can tell she loves dogs. Aspen really enjoyed her stay with Gyvel and I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again in the future if we are back in Key West. Thank you again for taking care of our precious family member Aspen.

I take my care instructions from the client. I understand routine is important. I have a nice covered balcony that dogs and cats just LOVE to enjoy. I don't mind if your pets get comfortable on my furniture. I have a day bed in the living room especially for them to be comfortable on. I have a one bedroom apartment so I prefer to care for 1 pet at a time. 2 is ok if they are from the same owner.

It's very important that their shots are up to date. I will need an emergency contact number. Must be flea free and on regular flea treatment. Prefer pets that are fixed but I can work around that.
A typical day
Enjoying the fresh air on my covered balcony and/or going out to the dog park close by. Curling up on the day bed and sharing the latest gossip ; )

I do have another business as a graphic designer and I do that out of my home too. Hoping for some company! I’m flexible with evening hours if you end up late.
