A large yard and fuzzy blankets....
Pet care experience
I've always been an animal lover. Horses, dogs, rabbits, cats etc.... For the past 17 years I've had my own chiropractic/ yoga studio where my dog (Gadsden) played an active role as greeter and healer. We have recently moved back to be near family in Charleston. Gadsden and I enjoyed our visits over the years and now have the opportunity to be here for an extended period of time. We are excited to host and care for your furry friend. As my animals have been rescues I've had experience dealing with a variety of issues like separation anxiety, diabetes, healing a torn ACL without surgery and rescues from hoarding situations. While not a trained vet I have had a variety of experiences in caring for cats and dogs requiring special attention. I'm excited for this opportunity to care and spend time with animals as clients.

We have a large fenced yard, a patio and a screened porch. The older pups especially like the patio as it is warm to lay on and feels good on creaky joints and muscles.

Information Gwen J. would like to know about your pet
Please fill out the care card on Rover. If there are any significant behavior concerns let me know ahead of time. I generally do not require meet and greets unless there is a concerning behavior issue. If you would just like to get your pup accustomed to staying in a new place, I recommend doing a daycare session. I like to keep pick ups and drop offs as quick as possible with minimal fuss. They can be the most anxious and high energy times for both the pup being dropped off as well as the pups waiting to see who is arriving and who is leaving. By arriving on time and having all information already updated, we can insure a smooth transition. Please text me when on your way with ETA. I will come out to greet you. Please do not ring the doorbell. Nothing has the power to turn peaceful sleeping angels into a frenzy of chaos like the door bell ;)
A typical day
A typical day involves sniffing, runs in the yard, wrestling with playmates or napping on one of the many soft places available. If a guest prefers more solitude, quiet nap places can be found in the back bedrooms and office. Sunning on the patio is a popular pastime especially for the older guests. Treats, chin rubs, belly rubs and butt scratches are offered throughout the day. In the evening we may gather around the dining room table and work on our table manners followed by a movie and couch time.

I work at home so the pups receive on-going supervision and attention. My BF is also part of the care team when he is not working at the hospital.
