Thank you for reading my profile! After more than 20 years of intl. touring as a classical conductor + concert organist - as well as managing my own music company - I decided a few years ago that it was time for a change and a more tranquil pace in my life. I started road tripping all across the US (have been to all 50 States) - house and farm sitting along the way - and then continued around the world for 5 years. I have done over 50 house and farm sits on all 5 continents - and have now settled on Heavenly Mountain in Boone NC. I grew up around many animals, started riding at age 7, and my mom is a true cat whisperer. I especially LOVE cats, and nothing gives me greater joy than having a purring fur baby on my lap or next to me - often while I'm working on my laptop. PURRfect references available. We couldn't be more pleased. Our two cats were well cared for, and while we were away the sitter sent us updates by email, including photos of the cats. When we got home, the house looked just as it did when we left. The mail and newspapers were neatly collected. The indoor plants were tended. We would recommend this sitter, especially for anyone needing a pet companion.
Gundi did a fabulous job pet/housesitting for us! Everything was perfect when we got home. Gundi is very professional and caring. My husband is very reluctant to travel because he does not like to leave our dogs. But our dogs were very happy and well taken care of while we were gone for almost a month. I highly recommend G
I could not have been more pleased that "G" responded to my request for a house sitter. We hit it off right away and I was comfortable communicating with her from the start. She arrived 3 days early so we could overlap for the benefit of the pets. It was great spending time face to face. By the time we left I knew "G" was the right person for our menagerie and house, and I was quite comfortable. She took amazing care of the animals, including an injured sheep, an ill dog, and a dying elderly cat. She also kept the house clean and orderly. I would be thrilled to use "G" again in the future.
Gundi took care of our central Texas ranch and animals (10 cats, 4 large dogs, 7 sheep) for three weeks in September 2015. She arrived three days early so the animals would have a smoother, less-stressful transition. It was also great having a chance to get to know her. She was friendly, personable, and quite interested in learning about our pets before we left. I could not have asked for better care. One elderly cat became sick and required immediate vet care and G was on top of it every minute. She also noted when one of our dogs wasn't feeling well and discovered one of our sheep had been injured by our ram. We were so appreciative of her attentiveness and alertness toward our animals. She also maintained the house itself in excellent shape -- it was clean as a whistle when we got home. We would use her again any time she's available.
