Hi everyone!! Thanks for stopping in! My name is Gretchen, I am an engineer from the Midwest and I moved to California a couple of years ago, after I graduated college. I grew up taking care of our family dog and five cats (yes, five!) Shortly after moving out of my families home, I decided to adopt a kitty of my own in school. But, as much as I love my cat, Sage, I still had a puppy void in my heart. So that’s when I decided to take care of other pups in my community! I dog sat all throughout college and decided that I want to keep it going out here in SoCal. I have a sweet spot for all animals, especially ones with lots of energy to give. Every furry friend is different and needs to be catered in their own, unique way. You can count on me to do just that (: PS: I am pretty active, I love running and have always gone of jogs with my puppy. If your pup is very active, I have no problem going on a jog with them too! It definitely gets all that energy out haha.

Gretchen was an amazing sitter for my two cats while I was away. She took lots of pics and videos and was in touch every day to let me know how they were doing. She responded immediately to any texts or questions I had. I was completely at ease knowing they were under her care. I would absolutely book her again. Gretchen is awesome! She helped me last minute walking our active lab puppy. She took him for a good walk and sent lots of happy pictures of Wrigley smiling and enjoying the outdoors. I’ll definitely be having Gretchen back!

I understand great responsibility, and I apply that to every aspect of my life - tending to your furry friend is no different. When I am in a client's home, I know the boundaries and focus completely on making your pup or kitty feel as comfortable as can be. I will follow their diet and feed them as instructed and give one-on-one playtime for the duration of our playdate. Every dog and cat are different! I can snuggle them, play fetch, tug-of-war or (if they are anything like my dog used to be), play tag! For cats, not all of them like to just be left alone! Some will want to play with a feather stick, play games with a laser pointer, or to just hang out. You can count on me to go above and beyond with all of your pet's attention.

A typical day
I am extremely active, so I love to go full out playing with your pup. If they are high energy, we can play fetch, play outside (if there is a specified area); or if they are on the sleepier side, I love to cozy up and give them pets. Every experience is personalized and I want to give them the best.

Availability
SCHEDULING: I work full time from 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM. I am available every weeknight after 2:30 PM - bedtime (typically around 10/11pm). I am very much a morning bird, so any time on the weekend works great for me!
