Pet care experience
I have been taking care of neighbor's, and family member's dogs for many years now and have taken care of a range of different size and breeds of dogs ranging from a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to a Rottweiler. I have my own medium sized mixed breed that I love taking on runs and playing with in our backyard. I have been involved with training a dog (my mom's dog) for agility and dog shows (my dad's dog). I have a great understanding of the different dog breeds and their needs. I also own a cat, chickens, and ducks so I am willing to take care of those other special animals in your life. I will treat your dog as if they were my own and be sure that they receive a lot of care and attention when I walk, drop in, or pet sit.

Gretchen has provided excellent care for my German Shorthaired Pointer. Running his energy away is no easy task. He looks forward to her visits almost as much as he likes to spend time with me. Gretchen loves animals, and animals love her.
Gretchen loves all kinds of animals. She takes care of our wonderful pups when we go on vacation or long weekends during the years. She is very loving and caring and becomes a pet’s BFF!❤️

Dogs I have cared for in the past are a German Shorthaired Pointer, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Rottweiler, golden retriever, Labrador retriever, English Springer Spaniel, Australian Shepherds, and miniature shelties. I would like to meet the dog with the owner first to make sure it gets to know me. I like to know the commands the dog knows or is working on, how they respond to other dogs if they see them on a walk and how to address this if it happens, as well as rules the owners have for their dogs inside the house.
A typical day
If there is a fenced in area you can bet I will be taking your dog out to go play in this area. I love being outside and know that dogs love it too. When going on walks I will be sure to pick an area that is safe but fun and will also get some input from the owner about good places to take their dog for a walk as well.
