I'm a former dog trainer who has been dog sitting for over 19 years. I trained more than 500 dogs over the course of several years of training, and I've dealt with just about every breed imaginable. I quit my training job for something with more flexibility but I miss working with the dogs and their people. For two years, I raised a service dog in training (named JJ) for a local organization. He has now been placed and is a working dog. I now have my own puppy, Evangeline (Evie for short), and she loves getting to meet and play with other dogs. She would also love to be friends with cats, if they want to be friends with her. I've taken care of many kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to lizards and snakes to horses to fish. I can't wait to meet you and your furry (or scaly, or feathered) friends!

Gretchen was just the right person to care for our dogs. She sent regular updates with pics and took everything in stride. With 7 dogs, she certainly had a big job. Her training background really helped me feel at ease. Our mail was brought in and the house was in order when we returned. We will definately ask Gretchen to return.
Gretchen did an amazing job taking care of our dog. We have a puppy who needs to me taken out mid-day for a walk. She was punctual and spent a good amount of time with him. We will definitely be using her again.
Gretchen did a wonderful job taking care of my animals while I was gone on vacation. I received regular updates and pictures, and she even kept an eye out and noticed a package that had been delivered while we were gone and brought it in for us. I would have her pet-sit again in a heartbeat!

A typical day
Your dog and I will have a blast! We'll go for walks, play fetch or a light game of tug, and if your dog likes to play with other dogs, I can bring Evie over for a puppy play session!

Availability
I work full-time, but my days off change from week to week. That gives me the flexibility to spend some quality time with your favorite animal companion when they need some extra attention.
