Home away from home! A staycation!

Pet care experience

Cold concrete, metal cages, the smell, the noise....If you’ve ever been to those places you know what I mean. Rover was the answer for us and I absolutely love being a part of it! I am at home full-time and I offer doggie day care, over-night, and long-term boarding at our home. You can rest assured I will welcome your dog into our home with the same love and affection we give our own dogs no matter how long or short the stay. Add my pick-up and drop off service and make your departure a breeze! I also offer bathing services for a modest additional fee so your pet comes home looking a smelling great! Ask me about getting both the pick-up/drop-off and the bathing/grooming at a reduced rate when you choose both services! The love of our lives are Bandit, Sugar and Ellie. Bandit is a 3 year old full blooded Border Collie, Sugar is our fixed female Border Collie-Basset Hound mix and Ellie is our fixed female Chihuahua - Dachshund mix (Chiweenie). Our dogs are excellent pet hosts! They are very sociable, fully vaccinated, and live inside full-time, and love to play! Connected to our home is a 200 feet six foot lighted privacy fence in our backyard with toys for play and exercise. I also have a separate four foot 20’ X 40’ metal fence kennel that can be used to separate the big guys from the little ones, if needed. We take the dogs out for potty breaks and play every two hours. The yard is well kept pet friendly Bermuda grass and sprayed to for fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. It’s our little slice of heaven and the perfect "staycation" for your beloved pet. If you choose to bring your loved ones to stay with us, or hire me to look-in on your pets at your home, you can be assured I will care for your loved ones like I would my own sweet dogs. I’m known for my updates with texts, pictures, and video so you are kept up to speed on the care your pet is receiving while you are away. I am always available by phone or text, anytime. My goal is to give you the peace-of-mind I wanted when I was away from my dogs. Kind regards, Greg

Greg and his wife were great. They took excellent care of Sadie during her weekend stay. We will definitely be returning to Greg during our next visit to TN!

This was our big boys first stay at Greg’s home. Avalanche usually want eat much while we are gone and never takes treats from anyone. He felt so comfortable at Greg’s he ate all his meals even treats. He sent me pictures of my son and keep me assured he was being cared for and Avalanche loved it. We will be using Greg in the future.

Information Greg C. would like to know about your pet

I have extensive experience with puppies all the way up to senior dogs with special needs. I keep notes on every dog to ensure your pets needs are specifically and completely met. I personally care for all the dogs, and no dog ever falls between the cracks. As a dog lover, I know how hard it can be on the dog, and the owner to be separated. I go the extra mile to make the time away as seamless as possible. Please share the following details about your pet: Health and Safety [ ] Who is the emergency contact in case you can’t be reached? This person should be familiar with the dog and be able to make health decisions if you aren’t reachable. [ ] Are the care instructions listed on Rover.com up-to-date, including veterinary care instructions? Does owner have a credit card on file with the veterinarian and is sitter authorized to seek care if necessary? Does your dog: [ ] Have any health issues (e.g., arthritis, allergies, etc.)? [ ] Take medication? If so, what’s their medication schedule? [ ] Ever run away or try to get out of the yard? If this has happened before, how did you get them back? [ ] Have a microchip? [ ] Does your dog have any food aggression or instincts to protect particular toys? (Keep in mind, even if they answer no, that doesn’t mean the dog will never be food aggressive.) [ ] Does your dog have any potentially risky behaviors, like getting into the trash, chewing on shoes or other items, etc.? [ ] Is your dog crate-trained? When does the dog go/get put in the crate and for how long? [ ] When your dog is anxious or experiencing separation anxiety, what helps soothe him? [ ] Is there anything specifically that causes anxiety for your dog? [ ] What are drop-off and pick-up times? [ ] What supplies are coming with the pet? **Additional information about overnight stays: Overnight stays are paid by the night which includes up to one 24 hour stay. If you plan to leave your pet with us longer than 24 hours, an additional fee will be added up to but not more than the original overnight rate. If your dog is not house trained (we understand accidents may happen) and this becomes a issue, we may have to make arrangements other than inside or home.

A typical day

I walk in the neighborhood I live in which is shady and quite. We have a large fenced back yard that provides a plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. I enjoy taking the dogs outside regularly for potty breaks and fun and exercise. I have a ball thrower, dog ropes, chew toys, and we welcome yours as well.
