My wife and I own two dogs of our own, medium-size mutts--Richard and Rocky. They love other dogs, and have spent a lot of time with new friends. Both are neutered. My life revolves around them. I work from home and rent a big house with a huge backyard in a quiet neighborhood in Basking Ridge. Really it's perfect for dogs, and I'm always bugging my wife to adopt one (or two..) more. I'm an active guy, usually I play football with my pups in the backyard, and take them for a walk down to Southard Park--I live about 50 yards away. I interact with my dogs constantly, like they're people, my best friends. There is no "hands-off" care in my household, the dogs feel loved always. Since I have plenty of free time and have had a wonderful Rover sitter stay at my house before, I thought to pay it forward to the community. If I was looking for a sitter/walker, I'd definitely feel comfortable using me--I'm flexible, honest, family guy, non-smoker, not a primary source of income, just doing this because I love animals.
