I'm new to Rover but not to dogs and cats! A lifelong animal lover and outdoor enthusiast, I recently moved to the island and would love to get outside and explore with your dog. Or if lazing on the couch is more your pup's (or kitty's) style, I'm happy to accommodate that too! In addition to always having pets of my own and caring for my friends' and neighbors' back home in Maine, I have extensive experience in animal shelters with cats and dogs who often have special social or medical needs. Most recently, I was a volunteer veterinary technician at a cat shelter with 100+ cats, where I administered oral, topical, subcutaneous and intravenous treatment while ensuring the general well being of all. I'm comfortable with well-adjusted and less confident personalities alike. Happy to match your pet's energy from the get-go with lots of activities and affection, but I know when to take it slow and allow your friend the time needed to build a trusting relationship. I generally work 6:30am-12:30pm Mon-Sat in Lahaina. Otherwise, I'm happy to provide consistent companionship to your family member in your absence. Without a pet of my own on the island, I'm eager to shower my love over yours!
