Trusted sitter for peace of mind!

Pet care experience

Don’t let finding a pet sitter make your travel any more stressful than it needs to be! After years of caring for my own pets and years of experience on Rover, you can be well assured your furry friends will be in good hands! I have cared for all sorts of pets, from the young and untrained, to the old-timers with daily meds. I’ve handled packs of many dogs, wrangled the strongest of big dogs, and cared for even the ‘fraidiest of cats. Whatever your friend’s individual needs may be, I am prepared to do whatever it takes to keep them happy, healthy, and feeling at home. I am fully vaccinated and work remotely, so I can be there to spoil your pet with constant attention while you’re away. I live an active lifestyle and can accommodate as long or short of walks as necessary to match your doggo’s energy level. Whatever comes up while you’re away, I am here for you, and will send updates on your pet as frequent as you would like.

Grant stayed with our dogs when we were away for the week. He took great care of them and kept us updated. We have an older puppy who requires more exercise, and Grant was able to keep her entertained! The pups seemed happy to be with him. He made our trip away less stressful!

We were very anxious about leaving our dog Archie, a rescue min pin with severe trust issues. Grant cared for Archie for more than two weeks and we can't imagine having a better dog sitter. He was patient and kind and won Archie's trust by gently persevering through Archie's defenses. It took a couple days before Archie would allow a tummy rub and almost a week before Archie would allow his halter and leash to be put on. We were worried that a sitter would give up on Archie and provide only basic care, and were so appreciative of the effort, time, and patience that Grant provided Archie. Grant sent many pictures and updates. He responded quickly to my inquiries with detailed reports. We left a long list of instructions, and he followed every one of them to a T. Grant even gave Archie a bath. Our yard is under construction and Archie got dirty and itchy from rolling around in the dirt. He was concerned that Archie was itchy and uncomfortable and took the initiative of giving him a bath. We were so happy and felt that he had gone way beyond any expectation we had for Archie's care. (In addition, he left the house clean and clean sheets and towels for us.) Grant allowed us to have complete peace of mind to enjoy our vacation, knowing that Archie was being handled with kindness and attention to all details. He was the perfect sitter for him.

Grant is awesome!! He was very easy and clear with communication and Kylee loves him. He even went the extra mile to make sure our cat Rambo had fun while we were away and took the time to clean up after Rambo who likes to make a mess sometimes :)

Grant did a great job taking care of our two large golden doodles while we were away for 12 days. He stayed at our house and walked the dogs twice each day. He took good care of the house and was happy to collect our mail and water our plants as well.

My personal motto is “trust and respect.” While under my supervision, I will look after your pets and property as if they were my own. I have years of experience in childcare, having worked as a camp counselor and a summer teacher, so I know what it’s like to be responsible for other living things professionally. All I ask is that you show the same courtesy in return! Please be sure to ask for explicit consent before recording anybody, whether it’s your pet sitter or your co-worker, in public spaces or in your home. As we all know, the absence of “No” doesn’t mean a “Yes!”. As previously mentioned I do work from home, and unfortunately due to the confidential nature of my work I cannot allow any recording devices in my work and living space without being in breach of my NDA. Thanks for understanding.

Information Grant S. would like to know about your pet

To make this process as easy as possible for both of us, please let me know as early as possible if your pet has any behavior issues that need to be accommodated, especially if they have been known to exhibit aggressive behavior toward others. Trust and respect is a two-way street, and I cannot be expected to provide care for issues I am not aware of. Thank you for your honesty in advance, and I look forward to meeting you and your pet soon!

A typical day

My job is to accommodate you and your pet’s needs. If your dog needs lots of exercise I can provide one-hour or longer walks, playtime at the dog park, or even full hikes if that is what your furry friend needs. Let me know!
