I am a kind and compassionate dog lover. I grew up taking care of my pet German shepherd-boxer mix, Wally, as a brother and best friend until he passed away last year. After living with and caring for a dog for 14 years, I enjoy any opportunity to give love and attention to dogs. I most recently puppy-sat for a 7-month-old 70 lb pooch named Chai on the Navajo reservation while directing a documentary in a rural community. Prior to that I shared a home with a family friend and would share responsibilities of caring for their small dog Louie, including feeding, walking, playing, and taking to and from doggie day care. I am an outdoors enthusiast so I love spending time with dogs roaming around parks, neighborhoods, and the beautiful outdoors. I respect the needs and personality of a dog as equal to my own, but I also know how to be gently assertive when necessary. I am a musician so I love playing guitar and singing for dogs, as they seem to enjoy it when not distracted by whatever else their ears and noses lead them to. I am reliable and currently work from home on freelance film and photography projects, so I have plenty of time to devote to wonderful pooches.
