I have had both dogs and cats as pets since the day I was born, so I am comfortable around animals both big and small! I’ve had many family pets, and also pets of my own such as a cat and a bird. I currently do not own any pets of my own because I feel like it’s never the best idea to own a pet as a college student, which is why I really want to take care of others animals! I’m about to be starting my masters online this fall, which means all of my classes are online, so my availability is pretty open! I will love and spoil your fur babies like they’re my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

I am new to Rover due to our normal dog sitter moving out of town. Gracie communicated quickly and was willing to come for a meet & greet prior to booking. She was great with my 2 dogs. They are both rescues and as most know rescues can be a little extra work at times. Gracie was patient with my dogs and communicated great with me. I definitely recommend her and will use her again.
Gracie was amazing! She was accommodating even though our plans (departure time, etc.) were up in the air. This was my first time using Rover, so she explained the process to me and how everything worked. She also cared for my 2 dogs really well and both seemed happy when we arrived home. My dogs are rescues, and my younger one was a little nervous at first but Gracie still took the job and I'm so glad she did. Would definitely rebook and recommend to others!

At my clients home, I make sure to know about the home first and foremost and where everything I need is as well as how the client would like me to take care of their home. Then I just take that information to create the best environment for their pets! For example, if they have a back yard then I can play outside with their dogs and make sure the dog gets exercise that way (if exercise is an option for the pet), but if they don’t have a back yard then I am completely comfortable taking the dog to a dog park or on walks or anything similar.

The most important is a dogs temperament. Knowing if a dog is standoffish with people and/other animals as well as if they’re jumpy and/or easily excitable is such an important piece of information to know about a dog ahead of time. I’ve worked with dogs of all kinds, from tiny Pomeranians to massive Cane Corsos, and the main thing I’ve always just liked to know is their temperament. I need to know how to approach the dog beforehand and also preferably meet them beforehand so I can then create the best environment for the dog and myself.
A typical day
I love to exercise, even more so with dogs. So if the dog is up to is and able to, I love to go on walks/runs in parks and also through the city, maybe stopping by Starbucks to get myself a coffee and the pup a little puppuccino if that’s okay for them to have.

Availability
I am about to be starting a more so part time job that is a split shit. 6:30am-8:30am and then 2:30pm-5:30pm, so I am available for check in’s any time besides those times and can also stay at your house for extended stays as long as you’re comfortable with me being gone for a few hours out of the day.
