Pet care experience
I've had my dog for eight years but have had professional experience for four years. I foster dogs from P.A.W.S. and also volunteered there for two years. Due to the fosters and variety at P.A.W.S., I'm able to handle dogs of varying sizes, breeds, and energy levels. I can walk untrained energetic puppies or seniors who need more of a chill walk. I'm my own family's dog walker, familiarized to the pulling dogs often do. For boarding, fostering and a little dog sitting gave me the experience of having all dog-owning responsibilities (feeding, playing, walking, bathing, etc.) for dogs that aren't my own. I am also used to getting the dog familiarized and comfortable in my home. I have done a little bit of house sitting but have gotten down learning instructions and the dog's schedule and habits in their home.

We were looking for someone to take care of our puppy for the weekend and a friend of ours recommended Grace. Watching Grace interact with Chloe, you could immediately see the kindness and love Grace has for animals. We were totally comfortable leaving our puppy and house in her care and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome!!! I left a very long list of information and it was obvious she read it all. She called us a few times to ask questions that believe it or not wasn't covered in my list. Our puppy is extremely friendly and very high energy. Grace spent a lot of time playing with her and taking her on walks. Probably the best indicator of how well Grace did was watching how Chloe reacted to her when we got home and on subsequent visits. Chloe is always so excited to see her and runs right to her to play!
Grace is extremely responsible and caring. She is the main caregiver for our family dog. She has also fostered puppies for the last few years as well as volunteered at PAWS. She is trustworthy and would take good care of your pet.
Grace is very patient and kind to animals. She has watched my dogs several times over the years. They are always happy to see her! I’ve told friends about her and they think she’s great too.

A typical day
I usually like to walk dogs around their neighborhoods or whatever the location is that they are most comfortable, but I also love walking them in forest preserves. I spend as much as time as possible with the dogs I watch, so I know they feel safe and not scared or alone. I like to play with them or sit for naps and cuddles.
