Dogs have been an important part of Grace's life since childhood. She was raised on a small ranch just outside of Bellville where animal care was one of her responsibilities which she enjoyed so much that she never considered it a "chore." Her family had at least 5 dogs at any time and she fed them, groomed them and taught them their manners (never jump on people, stay away from the table when the family is eating, etc). All this was accomplished through love and affection, not through physical discipline. She was especially good with larger dogs (more than 50 lbs), although she also worked well with smaller breeds. She has dog-sat (and exercised) my own family's dogs. including a Border Collie, a Walker Hound, several dachshunds, and a rather large yellow lab mix. She follows instructions well and also follow through her tasks. She's trustworthy, honest and ambitious and is working on a degree in early childhood development.
