Now that I am retired from being a Special Education Teacher, I'm looking for a way to share my strengths with my second passion, dogs. My family always had pets while I was growing up. Once I was married and we had a couple of children, we started to have pets as well. We had 2 different dogs over the course of 25 years while our children were growing up and living at home. We also had various lizards, a bearded dragon and gerbils along the way. However, now that we are retired, having a pet of our own is a little more complicated due to visiting our kids out of state. But, I can't shake my love of being around dogs. I have often taken care of relatives' dogs while they have been away for vacations or long weekends: big ones, small ones, young ones and anxious ones. I am able to form quick, trusting relationships with them and help them to feel relaxed. I can do the same for your pets.
