Pet care experience
Hi ! Thanks for visiting! I’m Grace, your Top Dog. I owned a dog-walking and pet-sitting business in northwest Denver for 3 1/2 years before moving up to the Roaring Fork Valley August 2017. Like so many of animal lovers, I do understand how it feels to leave my animals alone and be concerned about their welfare. From dog walking to vacation care, from overnights to mid-day drop-in visits, I am here to provide your pets with the next best thing – My love for animals came at a very young age. I was raised in northern Idaho on a farm in a very unconventional way. Although we lived in a home with electricity and running water, we lived primarily off the land. My father, a Grizzly Adams type had a love of nature and instilled that in me and my sisters. We had goats, chickens, horses, dogs, hunting dog (Blue Tick & Plott Hounds for bear hunting), rabbits and cats. Our family had a vast garden, which we canned much for winter use. Goats milk, game meat, chickens, fruits and vegetables all came from our land and helped sustain us. In my spare time, I am a certified yoga instructor and have an active yoga practice. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts….so you can also find me painting or drawing. Hiking, backpacking and camping area are activities I engage in all year round. And I am a voracious reader, gardener and jazz lover.

Information Grace J. would like to know about your pet
I always recommend a Meet and Greet with myself and the dog(s) along with the dog owners to ensure a mutual beneficial relationship. I don't have any breed preferences; however, I am unable to take care of aggressive animals that have a history of aggression or biting with other dogs or people.
A typical day
I enjoy walking dogs on open ranges, if trained. The ability to allow dogs to roam free makes my heart sing, and makes them a happy and tired dog ! I am weary of dog parks because of more aggression shows up in dogs because of the confined space. I, however, am happy to walk your dog in town or on the trail.
