Pet care experience
I've grown up around dogs and other animals all my life. My childhood dog was a 90 lb energetic Labrador mixed breed, while our current dogs are a mellow Border Collie mix and an energetic Feist terrier mix. I'm well acquainted with the ins and outs of raising a puppy since our Feist mix was adopted at 8 wks old. In my experience I know the best way to a dog's heart is through pets, play, exercise, and cuddles. We own our home with a fenced in yard and have the capacity to make sure everyone has their own space depending on your dog's needs for social or alone time. Due to our having dogs as well we do require any of our adult doggy guests be altered and up to date on all required MI state vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordatella, influenza, & lepto) as well as be on tick/flea/heartworm provention medication. I'm also experienced caring for parakeets and other larger exotic pet birds. Due to allergies, I unfortunately cannot do pet care for cats or other smaller mammals.

Grace was very accommodating on short notice. She gave me some great updates and was excellent at communicating and coordinating with me. She provided a great photo update and knows what to do for enrichment. My dog looked forward to returning, and we recommend Grace for both overnight boarding and doggy day care!
Grace was a great sitter for my dog when I was out of town for a long weekend! She was very communicative, gave daily updates with pictures and videos, and did outdoor and puzzle activities with my dog. It was an easy-going experience and I highly recommended!
Grace was a wonderful and accommodating sitter; probably one of the best sitters I have booked using Rover. She was flexible in extending my booking and had prompt and friendly communication. It was very helpful that she was able to administer medication for my dog. I can tell she cares about all animals and providing excellent care and look forward to booking with her again!
Grace is a wonderful dog owner and caretaker! She has experience administering medication, caring for injured/older dogs, doing obedience training and potty training with puppies, tuckering out high energy dogs, and managing leash reactivity. Her two dogs fall into various categories of need, and she does a great job meeting all of those. She enjoys long walks through Seattle's cute neighborhoods and is familiar with several of Seattle's dog parks and takes her younger dog to Magnuson regularly. In general, she is also a very reliable and organized person with a lot of empathy and love for all kinds of creatures.

I'm certified in Dog CPR and First Aid as well as have the Pet First Aid: American Red Cross app and understand the importance of supervision and adequate activity/interaction to keep pets safe, healthy, and happy. I usually have a schedule for the dogs that I care for which includes a mix of outdoor time, walks, meals, and games. Boarding & Daycare Policies: Please bring your pet's regular food & any special treats, enough for the duration of their stay (I recommended providing a little extra just in case). Pick up and drop off times need to be scheduled in advance. Typically these are between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. If you need a pick up or drop off time outside of this block, please reach out in advance of your booking so we can work something out. If you are running late to pick up or drop off your pet please communicate this to me as soon as possible. Before I book the stay on my end, I do require copies of vaccination records to be sent and the name of your pet's current vet to be provided. If your pet is sick, has special needs, or requires medication administration during their stay, please reach out in advance of your booking so we can make sure that they get the best care.

A typical day
Tell me what activities your pet likes! I'll be happy to incorporate those into our time together. Whether it be slow leisurely walk for lots of smells, runs, lots of time to play in the yard and sunbathe, training routines, or some fun interactive puzzles.

I'm taking a break from my career as a mental health professional working in schools to focus on recovering from burnout. Thus, my schedule is flexible and will be for the foreseeable future. As of fall 2023, I've focused more seriously on pet care as my main form of income (as well as my art, search 'gah art' on Google & 'thestickerbaron' on Etsy).
