Pet care experience
I grew up in a household that always had foster dogs, so I've been feeding, house training, walking, and playing with dogs for as long as I can remember. As a doctoral student, I'm usually studying or reading, so I’m flexible enough to fit into the right routine for your pup, whether that's runs, trips to the dog park, or just chilling at home and giving belly rubs. I love dogs of all ages and have trained puppies before, but I also have a soft spot for senior dogs and will give them the gentle patience and care they deserve. I also grew up riding horses and have even taught horseback, so I'm used to communicating with animals and cultivating relationships with them. I can tell if a dog is nervous, excited, or relaxed, and I adapt my behavior accordingly.

Grace is AMAZING! She has watched my dogs on two different occasions and I feel so thankful to have connected with her through Rover. She is kind, responsible, and exceeds expectations every time! I never have to worry about the care of my dogs or my home while I'm away and love getting the photo updates she sends!!! I actually think my pups were a little disappointed when I walked in the door instead of Grace after returning from my last trip. :) She's just the best!!!

The most important thing for me to know before spending time with your dog is what makes your dog the most comfortable. I want to make sure they are at ease with me. I also love getting clear expectations from owners not only about dog care but also about anything I can do to help out around the house. If you’ve ever had a bad dog sitter experience, I want to make sure I avoid doing whatever made that experience less than perfect. As for breed or size preferences, any dog is a good dog in my mind. I would actually love to meet as many dog breeds as possible, and I always research specific needs for dog breeds before I sit them.
A typical day
Activities all depend on what you prefer and what your dog likes! I can play with a dog indoors, rub their bellies as they relax, or take them for runs. I'm versatile and flexible. I'm happy to take dogs on walks near their home or wherever is most comfortable for them, but I love going to Zilker or the Shoal Creek Greenbelt with dogs who are more social.
