I have been a loving dog owner since 1995. I am intuitive and gentle with dogs. I am focused on senior dogs. It's difficult to write, but my smart, beautiful Border Collie recently made his transition. My beautiful Ben was a highly trained, vibrant Border Collie who was playful and gentle. He loved other dogs and is gentle with even the smallest of dogs. I live in a safe and secure highrise unit with a large, quiet balcony. Outside is a large lawn/field and an adjacent park to walk and play. We meet our dog friends who are neighbors to run and play. I am sensitive to different types of diets, and I'm happy to administer medications when necessary. I prefer dogs who stay to have a minimum of updated rabies vaccination. I work at home and with students. I also work some afternoons with my students in a library but can always schedule them for my home if needed. Otherwise, I am not gone regularly. Ben is by my side, and we will be happy to have your gentle dog with us when you need a good home to leave him or her with. It's a perfect daycare situation because I'm home most of the time and take breaks from work to walk and play with Ben during the day. I'm flexible with drop-off and pick-up times and can accommodate long work days. Leash training is available, especially if you've had trouble barking and/or pulling with your walks. If you've wanted to implement the Gentle Leader or other walking assist to your walking routine but are still experiencing pulling or inappropriate behavior with outside (and inside) behavior, I can get your dog on the track, so they feel a sense of peace and safety while walking. Just use the training option, and by the time you return from your trip, your dog will be trained with good behavior with this excellent walking technique. With leash training, your dog will feel safe and focused on me during our walks. With this technique, the dog feels more connected to the owner/walker, not less. The dog experiences a sense of safety and calm, while the owner has a sense of control that makes each walk enjoyable. If your dog has a history of even one aggressive/violent attack with another dog or a human, we aren't the right second home for your precious pooch. Thank you! I work remotely and have a flexible walk and playtime schedule. I try to stay with the dog's routine whenever possible. My goal is to make my guest dog feel happy and safe at all times. I live in a safe and secure high-rise with a balcony and a park next door. We have lawns with trees and scrubs throughout the property as well. My building is quiet and I have a calm home.
