Pet care experience
I have been with Rover throughout my undergraduate career and into my graduate (that’s 6 years!). I have always had a dog within my house ever since I was born. I simply cannot live without the wet nosed kisses and happy butt-wiggles! Any sized dog is welcome to try to be a lap dog here! I grew up on a hobby farm in central Minnesota so I am experienced in taking care of animals from as small as a gecko to as large as a quarter horse! Whenever I get the chance to be with a dog, I just can't let that opportunity slip up. I am willing to watch other animals as well if needed. My boyfriend, Sam, may make an appearance to help me watch your beloved pets, but not without your permission first, of course! Kenai, Sam and I look forward to meeting with you and your furry family members and making lifelong friends! Thank you for stopping by! I am in the process of searching for a part time position to hold over the summer. I will continue to update my profile as plans become solidified and/or when a job in within my possession. At your home, I make sure that your pet sticks to his/her routine to the best of my ability. We may add a few more activities throughout the stay together, such as going to the beach, taking a hike, or adventuring to a nearby dog park (if granted permission, of course). I want your furry friend to feel as comfortable as possible with me. It is of great importance that your dog is able to trust me prior to our stay. Grace was wonderful with our dogs. She’s kind and helped our dogs be at ease with us being gone. She also communicated well during the whole scheduling process and during her stay. I highly recommend her!
Grace was awesome! Very kind, gentle and sweet. Seems as though she gets sincere joy from watching the animals. Sweetie didn’t really want to come home, lol.

All breeds are welcome! Does your pup bark or howl? Are they okay to be left alone for an hour or two if needed? Do they chew/tear things up? Are they house trained? Do they do well with other dogs? Can the dog be brought to the dog park? Does your dog have any odd behaviors I should be aware of?
A typical day
Depending on age, size, and health status, we can go on walks far and wide or just around the block if needed. We will stick to a regular schedule as best as possible. Your dog's comfort is what is the most important factor in creating a happy visit! If you are comfortable with it, your pooch will always have a play partner! Kenai, my fur baby, tends to tag along to house stays, with your permission, however he has been living with my boyfriend in a different city while I’m on my rotations. He has experience with all sorts of animals, big and small, and is a gentle boy. Kenai does really well with playing with all dogs of all sizes and knows when to give dogs their space and when to play the day away.

I am looking for a part time position at this time. Otherwise, I always make sure that the time spent with your pet is full of activities (whether that be walks, playing tug, or cuddling on the couch - whatever your pet needs!)
