Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Grace. I’m 22 and originally from North Carolina. I’ve always grown up having dogs in the house. My family always had several pets at any given time. Growing up, I've had guinea pigs, fish, hamsters, various reptiles, a hedgehog, a bird, cats, and dogs. So if you have any pets other than dogs I can care for those too. I currently don’t have any pets of my own unfortunately. I’ve got over 5 years experience volunteering at various animal shelters as well. Most recently I have volunteered at the Russel T Reitz animal shelter in Manhattan, KS. I’m currently in the army stationed here at Ft Riley. My husband is stationed at Ft Campbell and we look forward to getting a dog of our own as soon as I get stationed there. I absolutely love animals! I look forward to getting to work with you and your pets.

I exclusively work in husbandry and animal care. As a result, I have high expectations and standards for my pets well being. If a caretaker for my pets doesn’t meet my expectations, it’s an insult to me and the work I passionately choose to do. I can’t disregard my pets being kept alive and well. There were however issues I was dissatisfied with; Grace not following instructions or asking how to do something proper. I informed her of a toy laser light I have for my cats, and asked she only uses it with them in the basement, not with or around my dogs. She didn’t heed my request, and did the exact opposite. One of my dogs has a high prey drive instinct and playing with a laser light with her causes neurological implications. My other issue was walking into my basement that smelled purely of ammonia. For unknown reasons, only the feces were scooped from my cats litter boxes. By the time I came home, the litter boxes were incapable of being used due to the smell, and all of the remaining litter had to be wasted vs scooped.
Grace went above and beyond our expectations when caring for our dogs! Throughout the entire process she responded quickly and politely every time I contacted her, even prior to booking. While we were away Grace took excellent care of our pets; she not only took the time to play with them but also brushed them (which can be a huge hassle considering we have very fluffy huskies.) Each day she sent me updates and photos letting me know how our dogs were doing. Not only did she take great care of our dogs but she also took the time to care for our home as well, ensuring we came home to a house that was just as clean as we’d left it. I would absolutely recommend her; her love for animals shows through her actions!
Grace was amazing with my pups! My dogs are stresssed when I’m gone and she did great with making a connection with them. They were comfortable and happy which put my mind at ease. She sent me multiple update with pictures! I would highly recommend her! Thanks again Grace!
Grace watched my dog's for two weeks while I worked an evening shift at the hospital. She sent me updates throughout the afternoon and made sure they were well taken care of. Grace treated my dogs as if they were her own. She was punctual and energetic. She even took them to the dog park a few times in the afternoons. I felt very comfortable leaving them in her care as well as letting her in my home. I would definitely recommend her as a petsitter/dog walker and she is always welcome to care for my dogs.

I want for my time with them to be as if you never left. So, what is their normal routine? I would like to know if your pet has any quirks, fears, or aggressive tendencies. I would like to know ahead of time so I can try to avoid any possible triggers and be aware of them. Please let me know if there is anything you do not allow them to do, such as jumping or sitting on the couch. Also, let me know how I can help you feel more at ease. I love taking doggie photos and it is easy for me to send daily updates. I am flexible and will try to accommodate you as best as possible.
A typical day
I'll take your dog on a walk or run. Also, time permitting I may take them to the park or a dog park nearby. I'm also content to just throw a ball around if that's what your dog prefers. Most of all, I'll pamper your dog and make sure it is well cared for. No matter the dog, I'll treat it as my own.
