Pet care experience
I'm an experienced, responsible, flexible, sweet and friendly dog lover and carer. My goal for every stay is to both provide fabulous care and to give them lots of love and attention. I like to think of myself as a dog 'auntie'. Since I provide care in your home, I can also help with your cat or plants, too (as well as fish, etc). I've been a pet-sitter & house-sitter for over 5 years in Vancouver and the US as I've spent a few years there. I'm experienced with all types of dogs, big or small I love them all. I've also been a foster-doggie-parent for rescues. I got my own dog, Dinx, because I was his foster parent and then couldn't give him up! I know how much you love your dog, and I'll love them that much too. :) Energy wise, I'm great with all types from the the high-energy, more rambunctious kinds (I'm a high energy person myself, so can definitely keep up with them) as well as the slower older types. I'm happy to play games and be more active with them if this is what your doggie loves, or just hang out and interact with and cuddle with them if they prefer this too. I also live close to a fenced in dog-park (Olympic village dog-park), so am happy to take your dog there, if you like. As I mentioned, I have worked as a pet-sitter for vacationing parents, so I had pets (often more than one) in my care full time from 1 to 4 weeks. I'm able to provide both longer-term care as well as short daily visits/walk type care. I can give you regular updates, texts, and lots of pictures so you can stay worry-free and see how they're doing. I have also volunteered for the SPCA and have also fostered rescues before, so being a dog-sitter and dog-walker is truly not 'work' to me and I look forward to this work every day. Speaking of which, I'm fine walking rain or shine and I'm not one to cancel due to a little bad weather! As far as background checks go, mine are fully up-to-date, as I have my Nexus Global Entry membership -- this requires being screened at a much more thorough level than the standard police background check, and in addition, to keep membership, no slight infraction is allowed in Canada or the United States. I know that your pets are your 'fur-kids' so rest assured I will treat them as though they were my own. Last minute requests are totally fine, too. :) Je parle français, aussi. :) Hablo español , tambien. :) Ani midaberet ivrit. :)

Excellent job! This was my first time using Rover.com and it was really easy. Goldie got back to me promptly to set up a meet and greet. She was very professional and accomodating when it came to helping me figure out what to do and when scheduling my appointments for Harley. Her flexibility when it came to adding dates at the last minute and the confidence with which she handled Harley (who can be quite a handful) made me feel good about leaving Harley in her care.
Goldie is a fantastic pet-sitter! She housesat my 2 dogs and old cat, and watered the plants, too, while I went traveling in Europe for a few weeks. She walked my dogs a few times a day and played with them and my cat, and all the while sent me updates and photos. I admit at first I was nervous about this whole process, having a stranger in my place, etc, but we met up first, and I could tell she was responsible and trusting, and I was right. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my pets were doing well in their own home, and I came back to healthy, happy pets and a very clean apartment, too, cleaner than when I left it! I have used Goldie again for some weekday walks while I'm at work, and would happily recommend her to anyone needing her services! Your pets will absolutely love her.
Goldie looked after our two little dogs and cat for three weeks while we were overseas. Right away our pets took to Goldie's warmth and enthusiasm, bonding almost instantly. We received regular updates and pics and could tell they were all having a great time together. Great peace of mind to have an animal lover looking after our pets! I would ask Goldie to pet sit again without hesitation and would highly recommend her.
I have a very young and energetic pitty, and needed a patient and loving someone to watch him for the weekend and Goldie was just perfect! She was super responsive and very insterested in getting to know my dogs likes and dislikes. She sent me daily pictures (that were too cute) and updated me throughout the three days. I came home to a very happy dog :) I would highly recommend Goldie and will be using her services in the future!

I'd want to know if your dog has any allergies, whether s/he can be fed treats, if so, which kind and how many, and what your dog generally likes on a walk. If your dog has any conditions, I'll want to know that as well and be mindful of that plus any past injuries etc. I've had both older and younger dogs and worked with many of all types so know that each dog has their own routine that suits them.
A typical day
I work from home, so when I'm with your dog, I have lots of time and energy with them. We can go to the park, go for a run (if your dog is this type) and play some games or take it slow if your dog is older and just wants a short walk plus some company for the rest of the time. I'm experienced with all types of dogs and ages, and will do what your dog likes best. Also, I can give your dog a bath, too, if you like as well as some light grooming (brushing).
