Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Gloria and I have experience fostering a dog for several months that had previously been malnourished and abused. He was definitely a challenge but it was incredibly rewarding to slowly earn his trust to eventually go on walks with me. Since then, I’ve had a soft spot for taking care of dogs and giving them all the love they deserve. I have dog sat (both small and big dogs) for several friends who trust me to take care of their dogs as if they were my own.

Gloria was a great dog sitter. Not only did she take very good care of our beloved bulldogs who (this might surprise you) are quite stubborn, she stayed at our home and treated it like her own. We don't like to leave the pups behind so her care gave us confidence that they were safe while we were away. We appreciate her and will have her care for them again in the future. A+ all around.
Pups were well cared for and house was spotless. Would love to use Gloria again!

Unfortunately I can’t have dogs in my apartment but offer dog walking, visits, and boarding services in clients’ homes. I am respectful of other people’s homes, making sure to keep everything the way it was left so you won’t even notice I was there. I like to keep things tidy and clean up well after myself.

Let me know if your dog is a dog park dog and how they usually interact with other dogs. Also if your dog needs an active lifestyle, has any special dietary needs I should be aware of, and how long they can usually be left alone.
A typical day
I love going on hikes and exploring the outdoors with the dogs I watch. I live close to Ocean beach so especially enjoy going on runs or walks along the shore. I also live within a 5 minute walk of Grandview park and a 10 minute walk of Golden Gate Park where I typically like to go on walks.

Availability
I am currently a medical student at UIC so have a fairly flexible schedule to go on walks and take breaks throughout the day. I really enjoy the company that dogs bring so thought this would be a fun way to make some money while in school. I also enjoy doing outdoors activities like hikes and runs on weekends that I would enjoy taking your dog with me on!
