Although I’ve been a pet lover all of my life, growing up with dogs (my parents were animal lovers too), it wasn’t until I had a family of my own that I became primarily responsible for our animals. Over the years, we have had two amazing family dogs—Walter and Merry—that grew up with my two daughters. Walt was great! A genuine mut, weighing about 40lbs., and so gentle. He loved walks and running around our large, grassy backyard. After Walt passed away, our family adopted a miniature dachshund named Merry. For the eleven years that Merry was part of our family, she was my special friend. I loved her so much. Unfortunately a few years ago, Merry passed away, which broke my heart. Since then, I’ve been struggling with whether to adopt again. I’m a homemaker and empty nester so it may not make sense for me now. But, I’m really missing some pet love, so I thought this would be the perfect fit! I would love to give your pets lots of love!
