Pet care experience
*Accepting new clients for small group walks & weekly hikes* I love to see happy dogs! I grew up with lots of animals: dogs, cats, even ducks and chickens. I learned how to care for pets at an early age, and as a teen I was in charge of walking our Rottweiler mix, Brady. While I was in college I helped foster rescue kittens, and would pet sit for friends and family. I've also cared for the animals on my sister's ranch when she's out of town, which includes her dogs and cats, as well as chickens, turkeys, ducks and goats. We now have two Chihuahua mixes, Pancho and Rosie, who are friendly, well-behaved rescues. While I grew up with medium to large sized dogs, over the past several years Pancho and Rosie have shown me how much love and affection little dogs have to share. I'm so grateful for the animals in my life, and I like to give all the pets I meet the care and attention they deserve.

Ginger is fantastic! Our boys stayed with her for two weeks while we were in Europe. She sent me pictures and updates every day. Ginger is attentive, communicative, and caring. Basil and Sage were happy when they came home and clearly enjoyed spending time with Ginger and her family.

Ginger was wonderful! She provided me multiple daily updates and I knew my pup Riley was in good hands. She walked Riley multiple times a day and let me know how much she was eating and if any issues arose. She was even willing to pick up Riley when I was rushing last minute. She was very easy to communicate with and very flexible. I appreciate everything Ginger did and will be using her moving forward whenever I go out of town! Thank you Ginger!
Ginger looked after our schnoodle for a week while we were out of country. She sent pictures daily with updates, and our pup was very happy and obviously well cared for when he returned. Have great confidence in Ginger.

I'm very considerate of your routines and training preferences, so I'd like to know if your dog has any favorite activities or places to walk, or if there are any rules around the house, schedules or dietary restrictions that I should follow. I'd also like to know whether your dog gets along with large and small dogs, if they experience separation anxiety, any quirks or habits I should know about, or any other information that will help me meet your dog's social and emotional needs. Our first meet and greet is the best time to discuss you and your dog's preferences, ask any questions you may have, and to see if we're a good fit!
A typical day
Pancho and Rosie like to visit their neighborhood friends at Colorado Center and Clover Park. They especially enjoy our weekly hikes at Westridge and Sullivan Canyon.

Availability
As a writer and bookseller who works from home, I like to take frequent breaks throughout the day to get outside and recharge. Walking dogs is my favorite way to exercise, relax, and socialize. I always love meeting new dogs on walks, making new friends at the park, and going for weekly hikes or a trip to the beach. I offer a small group walk on weekday afternoons and weekly morning hikes.
