Loving Care for Your Furbabies!

Pet care experience

I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs, and 15 years of combined experience caring for cats, birds, savannah monitors, bearded dragons, saltwater aquariums, and small freshwater tanks. I love all types of animals and make them part of my family when in my care. I'll lay around on the floor to play or getting kisses, as long as it makes your pet more comfortable and feel like they are in their own home. I don't mind watching dogs, cats, or other small mammals. My job as a pet care provider is to make ensure the health and happiness of every animal that enters my care.

I booked a stay with Gina from November 1st-10th. My dogs are dog aggressive and i was assured they would be kept in doors and allowed on the furniture like all the other pets. Well I never received one photo of them inside, only out side pics. When i picked them up from their stay, they smelled horrible. Almost as if they were kept outside the whole time. I immediately took them home and bathed them. I had to throw their collars away because after being washed the bad smell would not come out. I then put my dogs away in their kennel, ran out with my daughter and once we got home I pulled her out of her car seat I noticed something crawling on her head and it was a very large adult flea( the dogs were in the back seat of my truck, next to my daughter in her car seat on the car ride home). I ran to my dogs, looked them over and didn't see anything on them, I then went to my bath tub and i found a couple large dead fleas in there. I contacted Gina telling her i found fleas and she was very apologetic. She knew they came home with fleas so i really didn't think much of it because my dogs are both on Trifexis and frontline so i wasn't worried about an infestation in my home. Well weeks have passed and i then boarded my dogs in a legit facility from Dec 18th to the 29th for a trip i was taking over the xmas holiday and when i went to go pick up my dogs i was informed by the facility that they found worms in my dogs feces. I took my dogs to the vet asap, they didn't find any eggs in their stool but we treated them anyways. I then went home and upon washing the dogs bedding I found dried tapeworm segments and emailed the vet to confirm, I was told that they get tapeworms from ingesting infected fleas. The only time i know they were in contact with fleas was from when they stayed with her. I contacted Gina again about the dogs having tapeworms now and she doesn't feel any responsibility because i contacted her so late ( tapeworms have about a 20 day life cycle from egg to worm and then have to mature and drop segments to even be seen in poop. so from the time of the stay with her and the time i was even told about the problem, i let her know as soon as i got confirmation from the vet. Also my dogs are inside pets and so i only wash their bedding once a month and when i came home to wash it after my holiday trip, thats when i found a few dried worm segments) So Now i have to pay $234 for my carpets to be steam cleaned, 2 vet treatments totaling $128, yard treatment $47. Gina is denying any responsibility in this when i keep my animals properly vetted and in good health because in her eyes i should have contacted her sooner. I had no idea or signs that my dogs had tapeworms, until the boarding facility seen actual live pieces in a couple of their stools and it was charted and it only happened in 2 bowel moments over the almost 12 days they were there. At 1st I didn't want anything other then to let Gina know what was going on, but after finding out what type of worm it was and how to properly rid my home of them because i have a newly crawling daughter who likes to put everything in her mouth has now possibly been exposed...So if you have used Gina, I would recommend you get your animals treated for intestinal parasites ASAP. Tapeworms are hard to diagnose in newly infected animals so i would treat anyways just to be safe.

Gina is amazing! She is very accommodating and flexible. It was nice to be able to text her to check in on my dog and receive pictures. She responded promptly and sent pictures even when I didn't ask! :) She spoiled my dog as if she was at home and made her very comfortable. I'm definitely going to book again with Gina in the future. She's great at what she does!

Information Gina P. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know their temperament: how they are with other dogs, cats and children? Do they need some personal space before being introduced to another dog? I don't have any breed preference, I love them all.

A typical day

I can take your pups on a nice stroll in a safe neighborhood. I also enjoy playing fetch in my yard and chasing my dogs.
