Special Needs & Bully Breeds

Pet care experience

I am a passionate and empathetic dog guardian! I have worked at a well known (SPCA) vet clinic located in southern Virginia. While there I managed a staff of ten and helped transform their low cost spay and neuter facility of 500 patients to a full service clinic of over 10,000. I recently moved to Georgia and am excited to start volunteering at the local animal shelter. Sadly my dog passed away in 2019, and I have yet to bring home another angel. That's one of the reasons I love Rovering! It's like being a dog grandmother - I get to spoil them to pieces! My motto is safety first, then nothing but fun! I enjoy taking care of all dogs, but there is a special place in my heart for the oldies but goodies.

Gina was the perfect caretaker for our pup Sully. She was great about communication and incredibly flexible to accommodate our needs. Loved all her photo updates as well. Would absolutely recommend her to care for any pup!

After working with 5 different cat sitters, Gina was the best cat sitter I've had so far. She was reliable, professional, responsive, and went out of her way to spend an incredible amount of time with my two cats and take good care of them. She made me feel at ease while I was out of town. And she left my apartment even cleaner than when I had left it! I will absolutely be working with her again soon. Thank you Gina!

I booked with Gina to house sit my dog for me, who is diabetic (needs injections twice a day) and separation anxiety. Gina was great sending me pictures everyday and reassured me she was well taken care of so I didn’t have to worry. I’ve met a few people on rover who I didn’t make me feel entirely comfortable leaving my dog and my home with, but after meeting Gina I wasn confident I could trust her.

Gina was warm, friendly and determined to make our cat-sitting experience as easy as possible. I found her prices reasonable, and was happy that I selected her to take care of our pet. Our cat is pretty easy to look after, but Gina went the extra mile playing with his favorite toys and sending us charming pictures of our little guy. Although we didn't need her to give our cat any medicine, I know she is experience in giving shots and other medicine. Additionally, since I am a first-time cat owner, I have called Gina to ask about cat behavior questions, and her suggestions have always helped! When she stopped by while we were there, the cat perked up and went to visit her. We would definitely have Gina cat-sit for us again. She has been PURR-fect for us!

Information Gina G. would like to know about your pet

I love BULLY breeds! I would like to know the following: 1) Any medications I should be aware of / Are they currently on flea/tick prevention? 2) Any need for reinforcing behaviors or discouraging them? 3) Your dog's favorite toys 4) If there is anything else I can assist you with (Landry, food prep, clean up, etc)

A typical day

My number one priority while walking your boo is their safety. The only time I'm on my phone is if I am taking a picture of them for you. I am very conscious of traffic, people, other dogs, bicyclists, and chicken bones! When I walk a dog, I let him/her walk me. I will work with you to reinforce behavior and am always in a cheerful and bright mood! My number two priority is fun!
