My name is Angie and I live in Austin and am always very happy to host pet friends and was a very active Rover host for some time. I stopped hosting @ Rover because my beagles were getting a little old and it was a little too much activity for them having so many guests at the house. Last year both Tia Lore and Tio Jose passed away to dog heaven, we still haven’t gotten new pet companions because we still miss our beagles too much, but I think babysitting is a good way to have doggie company at the house (that we also miss greatly). On a typical day we will probably do at least one car ride, a visit to the park or a dip in Town Lake plus a ride on either a raft canoe, paddleboard or kayak. Both of us work from home so your pups have company all the time. We also frequently take them out to the yard for bathroom breaks and to stretch their legs. Our canine guests love to sleep all day on the King size mattress we dropped on the living room corner on the first floor of the house, or they go up to the second floor of my studio or bedroom. We also walk over a few times a day to our neighbor’s fenced yard and play fetch with their two Labs. It’s a lot of fun when all dogs are playing fetch together. All this in a typical day. You can visit Tia Lore’s memorial bench at Eilers (Deep Eddy) Park, the bench is looking onto the water directly at the park’s dock (Tio Jose got her the bench to commemorate the loving and happy life they had in Austin. She passed a few months before him in 2016)
