After two years of in-house sitting, we are extending our business to walking and home visits during the work day. One of us is a professional with a flexible schedule who just started working from home again. Our in-home overnight boarding is often full from our "regulars" but we are happy to come to your home, during the workday or while you are on vacation, and take care of your furry family members. As for our in home stays, your pooch must be friendly, good with kids as well as other dogs. We have a lovable male puggle named Bruiser. He was a rescue dog, so he came with that name, but he is actually very playful and loves snuggles. He LOVES to play with other dogs, as he has an abundance of energy, as do our children (ages 12, 12 and 16). Prior to Bruiser, one of our first dogs was a pure-bred Black Lab. The second was a rescue dog, also a Black Lab. After my great experiences with her and now Bruiser, I will always have a rescue dog. We will walk, feed and care for your dog according to your specifications. We live in a house with a fully fenced in backyard. (Beyond our fence are woods, so there are deer. We would recommend have some form of tick preventative, such as Frontline or stronger for overnight stays. We do constant tick checks, but it is better that they never get them!). We hope to meet your dog soon! About this sitter: Gina is a teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. She stays home during the summer to take care of the children and get them to all of their summer activities. Kim works from home with a flexible schedule she creates, so she can get to your house multiple times a day if your pooch needs that kind of attention. We are also open to during the workday for at home doggie day care. Why we love dog sitting We have been a dog lovers for a long time. And the past two years have reinforced our love of all different kinds of furry friends. Dog sitting also gives our dog, Bruiser, the ability to have a great time running around with other playful dogs. The kids are also dog lovers and have a great time playing with and snuggling all the dogs that come to visit. Our House We have an open concept living level. The downstairs is a walk-out finished basement. There is a sliding door out to the backyard. The backyard is large for the dogs to be able to run around and it is fenced in. There is a lower level to my yard that borders the woods. We also have a 25 foot lead leash attached to the tree for dogs who may not be good candidates for free roaming. I don't know the square footage, but the yard is bigger than the house. Our experience administering medication Yes. However, if there is a special way that the dog needs to take the medication, we would want you to show us.
