Gianna was fantastic!! She was very quick to respond to my messages. She took great care of our two dogs while we were away, including special requests I had. Also, one of our dogs is very nervous with new people. Gianna was patient, and took extra time to gain her trust. Absolutely wonderful with communication, beautiful photos and even a video!! I’m so happy to have found Gianna last minute on Rover and can’t wait to have her again!!

Gianna is just amazing with our dog. Abbie would rather walk with Gianna than us! 😆

Information Gianna V. would like to know about your pet

Keeping your pet happy, healthy, safe, and stress-free is the most important thing to me. Please let me know the following about your pet: - Up to date on vaccinations, heartworm protection, flea/tick prevention - Health conditions, medications, allergies, special needs, etc. - Routines - Behaviors, fears, triggers, likes/dislikes - History of reactivity or aggression - Hiding spots - Other responsibilities (plants, mail, trash, etc.)

A typical day

To reduce stress on your pet, I try to keep to their routine as much as possible. This could include walks, play time, working on basic commands, cuddles on the couch, etc. On nice weekends, I can also take your pet on an adventure to a local park, dog-friendly beach, hiking, etc (with your permission of course). Your pet is the boss while you're gone!

[[ EXPERIENCE ]] I have 20+ years of experience caring for animals. My family home had cats & dogs. I currently have two Australian Shepherds who bring me so much joy and keep me laughing daily! As a teen, I started a successful dog-walking and pet-sitting service and was a neighborhood favorite. I have continued to care for the pets of friends and colleagues through adulthood. Before COVID, I spent my weekends volunteering at a local animal shelter, where I received training in understanding canine behavior and learned how to properly interact with nervous and reactive dogs. But because I was constantly on the brink of bringing home dog #3 (much to my husband's dismay!), I decided to join Rover in 2021 and channel all my love into caring for your pets instead. I have experience handling many kinds of medical issues. I have owned pets and cared for pets with IBD/GI issues, seizures, cancer, allergies, chronic ear infections, urinary crystals, some reactivity, and more. [[ AVAILABILITY ]] I work at a school in Andover full-time. Because my clients are within driving distance of where I work, I am available for check-ins or walks during my lunch break and after work. If you book me for housesitting, I will be available to check in on your pet during my lunch break as well, so that they are not left alone more than 4-5 hours. [[ SERVICES ]] - House Sitting / Overnights: While you are away, I will move into your home to care for your pet(s) and look after your property. I will keep to the same schedule your pet is used to in terms of feeding, potty breaks, walks, playing, etc. I will also check your mail, water your plants, accept packages for you, etc. Please note that booking house-sitting/overnights with me does not guarantee 24-hour constant care, though I will be with your pet any time I am not at my full-time job, running an errand, dropping in on another pet etc. I do try to keep this to a minimum! Prices are as listed. - Drop-Ins (30 or 60 minutes): The primary purpose of this service is to feed, play with, and potty your pet. Depending on the circumstance, this may or may not include a quick walk! Please note that if you are going away overnight and do not have additional care secured, I will require that you book a minimum of 3 drop-ins daily. - Dog Walking (30 or 60 minutes): Your dog and I will take a nice, long walk in your neighborhood. I will usually leave 5 minutes at the end of the booking to wipe your dog's feet, change his water, and give him some extra love and a treat before departing!
