I specialize in alpha dogs as I don’t have any dogs here. I enjoy helping out people who need their pets taken care of in a safe, friendly environment. We have chickens but they are fenced in. I do require doing a meet and greet before booking, which would make sure we are a good fit, unless distance makes this impossible. I also want dogs bathed before they come, especially if they are ones who go on furniture. Bringing a brush for grooming would be very helpful. If your dogs are untrained on a leash (i.e. they are larger dogs that pull) depending if we can even handle, we automatically use a choker, meet and greet will help us determine our fit. Owner will be charged a puppy rate for dogs unmanageable, if uncontrollable we will ask the dog be picked up. We do offer using a sound/vibration collar if the owner wishes us to try this option so we can control without raising fees, or asking you to pick dog up. If that collar doesnt work, but we can still handle, puppy rates apply We will pick up and drop off within a 15 mile radius for $55. If further, we will discuss pricing. If dog has a health condition when dropping off, additional fees will be charged, unless I was aware of condition beforehand, and we've agreed to pricing before booking. Pricing will depend on severity of condition and care that is required. For doggy daycare, rates are for 8 hour days. I will give time for commuting, but anytime over this will be additional time charged. The same goes for when watching overnight. If you drop off in the am, pick up needs to be the relative same time or additional rates may apply. We can work this out during our meet and greet. I have experience working with disabled dogs, I took care of one that was deaf, and also had problems walking. I have also worked with animals on special diets, and ones that needed meds administered. I also worked with a diabetic cat, and administered insulin. While I stated I only do 1 dog at a time, if a person has 2 or more pets, or if your pet does get along with other dogs and a play day would be beneficial, I have made that exception. I sometimes have family members over who have pets, so if you state your pet is good with others, I will have a play day. As far as pets over 100lbs, I would consider, depending on their temperament, as we can't have a dog that is to strong for me to handle. One thing, I've had past experience with dogs who've been unable to be crate trained. I do require this, but if I do have a problem, or take a dog that cannot, I expect them to be house trained. If they do have accidents in the home, I will charge a $10 fee per incident for cleaning after them. I highly prefer crated dogs and completely housetrained. We do make sure we walk dogs ample times daily. For overnight stays, the fee is for a 24 hour period. Day rates apply when you need additional time. We will discuss this during our meet and greet. We will not give flea medication while your pet stays as we had an infestation by doing so in the past. We require any flea medication to be given at least 1 week before we take a pet, if we find your dog has fleas, we will ask for dog to be taken home asap. My husband is very allergic to fleas bites as we found out the hard way.
