Hi - I'm Georgia, a Halifax local that can often be seen walking furry friends all around the Peninsula! I am currently living and working in the south end where I run a non-profit and am pursuing applications for my Master's degree. I grew up in Waverley, Nova Scotia, with many pets at home and long days spent at friend's farms nearby. I have house sat for all kinds of dogs and cats, and I would be thrilled to take care of yours! My dog is a jumpy, friendly (and mouthy) big guy at 11 years old and 70lbs, and our other dog is a 11-year-old 45lbs Weimeraner who is very anxious and struggles with some psychosis as she is now getting older. I love them both although they are certainly not "perfect" dogs in any way! I am very willing to take care of any pet, I know that each animal has their own comfort zone and unique traits and I make sure that all of their physical, mental and social needs are met. I offer: House sitting: I can watch over both your pet and house, together! I make sure to give lots of attention (and pats, where applicable!) to furry friends within the house. I have never lived without a dog in my house and I am very attentive to their needs. Potty breaks, fill up the water dish, an itchy spot they can't get or time for a wrestle. I will be their stand-in dog parent while you're away. Check-ins: Making sure your pet has food, water, or maybe just a little extra attention! I will come to visit your pet while you're out and be sure that everything is going smooth so you can be stress-free. You can bet with me that a check-in will include whatever your pet needs, whether it's a lively game of fetch, some scratches behind the ears or just someone to be around and make them feel calmer. Walks: I am very comfortable walking dogs! I grew up walking many different dogs, including our dogs at home, both of which are very reactive to other people and dogs out on the streets. I know how to manage situations with other animals and people. My "walks" are timed and paced to whatever your pup may need, satisfaction no matter what their activity level may be.
