I grew up on a small homestead with a plethora of animals to look after and go on adventures with. Some may even say that I was the best little boy a country dog could ever ask for. The cats would even hike through the woods with me...maybe to make sure I was home in time for dinner (their dinner, that is). After moving to the city and graduating college with degree in biology, I worked in the animal health field for a couple of years due to my inherent passion for animals. And because of that job, my friends assumed I'm was a veterinarian. Due to this loose association, I was usually the first person to get a call when a friends chihuahua ate a whole chocolate Easter bunny. I've briefly volunteered my time caring for animals at shelters such as Acadiana Animal Aid and I occasionally pet sit for friends. In general, I always look forward to meeting new pet companions and their pet parents. I think sometimes we need them more than they need us!
