Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Geoff! If you are looking for someone to walk and pick up your dogs' "business", you can find just about anyone. If you are looking for a guy who grew up taking care of dogs since he was little, I'm your guy. If you are looking for someone who will take care of your pup like they are his own, you've definitely found the right guy :-). I grew up with dogs of all kinds (Beagles, mutts, Chow Chows, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Irish Wolfhounds, Border Collies, Great Danes, Shih Tzus, Labradors) as well as cats and smaller pets too (hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, snakes, etc.) and pride myself on being there for families who needed a last minute helper for their 4-legged (and sometimes 3-legged) friends. I'm a friend to almost all animals (big and small), and would love to talk with you about your other "pets" (furry or not) that are in need of care as well! If you would like, I would love to take your pups for a run and/or hike to make sure they get enough energy burned off. Geoff went above and beyond while watching my fur babies. One of my 3 dogs got sick and he took him to the vet and made sure he was well cared for. Another dog was in the middle of ear drop treatment and he took care of this as well as well as having to deal with separation anxiety and pillow and pet bed destruction.
Geoff was amazing! Dogs love him, and really seemed to miss him when he left.
Geoff stayed with our 2 dogs while we were out of town for a few days. He took such amazing care of them that I knew they were not stressed by our absence. Our little dog is a rescue and gets separation anxiety. While she was very happy to see us when we got home, she wasn't shaky and stressed like she often is. I will absolutely ask Geoff to take care of them the next time we leave town!
Geoff was a great sitter! He took care of my 2 dogs, a 7 year old golden retriever and a 7 month old lab mix, and my cats. He gave my puppy lots of exercise and play time. The house was neat when I got home and the pets were happy. I will definitely use him again.

Are they currently not feeling well? Are there any medical conditions that I should be aware of? Do they have any tics, food-aggression, anxiety, etc.? What name do they respond to? Are they treat-oriented? How are they on a leash? Do they pull heavily? Are there any specific commands that you would like reinforced? Are they good around other animals? What age ranges of people are they comfortable with? Do they have any special habits that I should be aware of? Do they have a special toy that they love? Do they have a "special spot" where they like to be scratched/petted? As for breeds, I do discriminate as I have worked with (and love working with) pups of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. :-).
A typical day
I love to go on walks with your pups, but I also love to go on runs (or hikes) with them as well (if they are physically able to do so, and you are okay with it). I have found that the pups are calmer and more relaxed when their owner/parent gets home to see them after we have gone for a run. I've ran with everything from Dachshunds to Great Danes, and am comfortable with all energy levels. :-) I would also love to play fetch, tug-of-war with your pups as well :-)
