I have volunteered at my local animal shelter for the past 6 years! I spend equal time as a dog-walker and in the shelter's cat room playing with and caring for cats of all ages. Not only do I volunteer for the shelter, but I also open my home to the occasional foster! I have fostered a few puppies/dogs and over 20 kittens/cats during my time with the shelter. The fosters I take in are usually weak or injured, but it has been extremely rewarding to be a part of their recovery and help them find their forever home! Finally, I have also cared for my own fur babies over the years! Including several cats, a chinchilla, rabbit, bearded dragon, and a dog of 16 years that recently crossed the rainbow bridge.
