Gen was great with the dogs and very communicative and clean throughout her stay.
Last minute request for help. Genevieve gave great feedback and communication.
Genevieve was a great sitter! She kept in touch while I was gone for the week, left my place clean, and I could tell my dog Dante had been well-cared for! Normally when I leave for a while (usually board him at daycare) he get skinny and sheds from stress/not eating - but when I returned he was totally normal. Thanks again!
Animal Behavior Student
I'm a college student from Moss Beach living in Davis and like to come down to the Bay Area as often as I can. For the past three years, I've studied Pre-Veterinary Sciences with a minor in Animal Behavior. Recently, I transferred to UC Davis to study Wildlife Biology and have taken classes including veterinary CPR, medication administration, and handling aggression. My most recent experience involved handling snakes and reptiles as a Naturalist for Tree ...
What Genevieve would like to know about your dog
All pets require different methods of care. At a meet-and-greet, I want to make sure I can care for your pet in the most beneficial way. I like to emphasize questions on leash aggression, and often ask owners to take a walk with me and their dog before I am comfortable accepting a request. This is not to deny more exuberant dogs, but to gauge the level of alertness needed for each individual animal.
I like to stick to routes familiar to the dog––around the house or neighborhood is usually best, but if they like to explore, I’m more than game. During a stay, I try to keep in touch with the pet owners as much as possible––at the least, sending pictures every other day. I found that keeping your pet on the same routine helps ease separation anxiety and leads to a better stay for everyone involved, and will probably ask you some strange questions during our meet-and-greet. I once looked after a cat whose owners would leave the radio on at night. He preferred hip-hop to classical, and would become restless if there was no music. Whatever your pet’s needs, I’ll be happy to oblige.
