Pet care experience
I've been taking care of pets for as long as I can remember. The past 15 years I have worked in the veterinary field as a Certified Veterinary Technician, so I'm very comfortable giving medications, administering SQ fluids and performing other minor medical needs. I love pets of all kinds, and they seem to love me! I have done house sitting and some boarding in my home off and on for many years, so I'm comfortable with either. I treat your fur kids and home as I would my own.

Genevieve was conscientious about her sitting, asking important questions about the care of our multiple pet household. It was like the critters didn't even notice we were gone, everything was handled as if we were there. We'll be sure to book again.

Personally, I have a fenced backyard and baby gates around my home to keep animals in certain areas as needed. I have 2, 70ish pound lab mixes who get along well with other dogs. I also have 5 indoor cats (and 1 outdoor) who are very dog savvy. There are a few steps to get into home and steps to get into yard. At your home, I will treat it as my own with the upmost respect and follow whatever plan you may need for your pets. I understand leaving your fur kids and home behind can be stressful and I strive to make it as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

I'm happy to accommodate all kinds of pets, even those with special needs and medications. Please be upfront and clear about what your pets needs and enjoys and I will do everything I can to provide them a comfortable stay. In my home: I can accept dogs up to about 60 pounds. Prefer crate trained, potty trained, cat/dog tolerant. I can take puppies if they are at least partially house trained, please be upfront about this. Dogs under 1 year do not need to be spayed/neutered. Please be current on vaccines and flea control. No dogs with history of harming small animals please!
A typical day
I'm happy to play a favorite game or take dogs on walks as needed. I do appreciate if dogs are leashed trained, especially large breeds, if you would like me to walk them. Also happy to just hang out and have lazy days for the more quiet pet kiddos.

Availability
I work 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday and can accommodate most schedules. On my days off I am home most of the day to be with the kiddos. My partner is stay at home so someone is almost always there.
