Hi! I just moved to Gainesville recently and I am excited to hang out with some of the city's furry creatures. I worked at the Austin Animal Center as a veterinary technician for 3 years. Previously to that I worked at the Texas State Aquarium as a trainer for 3 years focusing on exotic birds and small mammals. I grew up with all sorts of pets and have the education, years of experience, and positive reinforcement training working with different species. Although this is mostly about dogs, I’d be happy to take care of cats, birds, fish, or reptiles. I will love your pet as much as you do and they might even return to you with some new tricks learned! Genesis was nice enough to take care of our dog with only 1 hour notice!! she was quick and responsive to my text messages, and ensured that Alice was having a great time with her pile of dog toys. When we picked Alice up, she sent her home with one of her tennis balls :) Thanks so much for taking care of her!
Genesis was great and reliable! She met with us a couple days before our puppy's stay at her place to get to know him. She sent us a picture of him by text during his 3 day stay at her place, and it seemed like he was happy. We were also reassured to learn she only accepted one dog stay at her house at a time.
My pup absolutely loves Genesis! She is wonderful with animals and it shows when she is interacting with them. She is one of the few people I would trust to watch my dog Nugget. Every time she is with him, she is constantly playing with him, tending to his needs, and giving him all the love and attention he deserves. Now, Nugget is always excited to see Genesis because he knows he's going to have a great time! If you need someone to care for your pup, Genesis is the perfect person for the job.

I have one dog of my own and she has lived with 2 yorkies in the past. She gets along with all dogs, but I would prefer a meet and greet first if your pet will be staying in my home. I have access to a large dog park with 2 pools and will happily provide whatever physical demands your pet might require.

No breed preferences, but most of my experience is with smaller/medium size dogs. I would like to know how your pet behaves around other dogs and strangers. It helps me know what to do and not do if I take them to the dog park or any public space. This helps prevent any incidents and/stress on your pet!
A typical day
I have access to a large dog park with 2 pools. I will happily provide whatever physical demands your dog might require wether that is a long walk or a nearby hike.
