Not your average pet care service!

Pet care experience

Hello & Welcome! Providing the best care for your best friends is my life’s passion and I’m so excited to work with you to tailor care specific for you and your pawlz. Current service offerings include: • Boarding – Welcome to the family! Your pups are welcome to hang out with us in our home while you’re away. Located just outside of Middleton, we have a quiet home in the countryside and endless playtime, fetch in the backyard, and lounging around the house are all included. **DROP-OFF & PICK-UP TIMES** Monday-Saturday: 7:30-9:00 a.m. & 4:30-6:00 p.m. Sunday: 4:00-6:00 p.m. • Small Pawl Boarding - Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Chinchillas... Anyone who's not a cat is welcome to stay with us while you're away! As Rover only caters to dogs & cats, please visit sashaspawlz .com to arrange care for your other furry friends! • Daycare – I don't work a traditional office job, so I'm home much of the day! Your dog will receive daily supervised interaction and socialization with a small group of dogs as well as constantly-monitored, appropriate play. Daycare is available for up-to 10 hours/day Monday-Saturday: Drop-off: 7:30-9:00 a.m. & Pick-up: 4:30-6:00 p.m. • Dog training! As training is not a service Rover offers, please contact me directly over at sashaspawlz .com to discuss your dog's needs. We are neither a boarding facility nor a single-family in-home care provider. We specialize in high-energy and working breed pet dogs who need an outlet for that energy but may not be a candidate for a traditional daycare/boarding facility. Why should you entrust me with your pawlz’ care? My journey into the dog world really began when I adopted Sasha in 2016. Starting as a possessive, reactive, and self-entitled dog – through consistent work and training – she is now a respectful, loyal, and accountable pup. After caring for hundreds of dogs over the past few years, 2020 added Stormy to our pack and Scout in 2021. As an owner of high-energy and sassy dogs, I can positively redirect that energy through exercise, enrichment, structure, and training. I am constantly sharpening my training and behavior knowledge base in addition to volunteering with Fetch WI Rescue – a foster-based dog rescue. I have experience with various breeds, sizes, temperaments, and levels or trust and training. Over the years, we've had a miriad of small pawlz, including rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and a hedgehog. I also have extensive experience caring for cats, fish, turtles, chickens, and indoor birds. As such - hope you feel comfortable and confident entrusting the care of yours with me! The only pawl I cannot provide care for are arachnids - sorry!

This is the third time we've used Rover to board our dog, Daisy, and every time we've used Gen. She is flexible, very responsive to messages, and takes great care of Daisy. Daisy enjoys playing with all the other dogs. We know she is in good hands, and we enjoy the photo updates. When we have future needs, we will reach out to Gen again!

Health and safety are my top concerns. I am certified in pet first aid and CPR and always taking additional training classes. I am fully insured through Kennel Pro, maintain current vaccination records of all pups in my home, and require owner confirmation of flea and tick treatment. I am a huge fan of open communication and ensuring you are actively involved in your pawlz’ care. I will always follow all instructions you provide as you truly know your pets best! Likewise, if anything ever seems “off” during our visits, you will be the first to know. On walks, I do not allow any interaction between your dog and other dogs/humans. They may know you and your dog, but I don't know them and it is an easily mitigated risk. :) **Current vet/vaccination records must be on file for all services in addition to a clear fecal within the last six months for all daycare and boarding stays.

Information Gen A. would like to know about your pet

Not every dog is a daycare or boarding candidate -- and that is okay! When considering boarding or daycare for your dog, the most important question to keep in mind is, "Am I doing this for their benefit or for mine?" There are three resident dogs in our home and I always board at least one other family as well as have a small group of daily daycare pups. If your dog does not enjoy the company of other dogs, they will not be comfortable in our home. We have plenty of space that we can separate dogs who may need a break from each other or just prefer more of their own space, but we are not a one-dog sitter. Crates are a part of daily life around here -- while your pup will get tons of playtime, socialization, and exercise each day, overnight and if home alone for a short time, all dogs need to be comfortable in a crate for their comfort and safety. I get it -- I have three high-energy dogs; they can be a lot! We always do slow introductions with all our guests. This means, I do not introduce dogs at a meet and greet or even the moment they walk into our home. Your pup(s) are given a chance to settle in, before they're introduced to the pack. Things I'd like to know about your dogs: • Any current medical or behavioral concerns? • Any previous issues with other dogs or humans? • Any food sensitivities, intolerances, and/or allergies? • What does a typical day for them look like? • Any quirks and fun facts I should be aware of? Policies & Other Noteworthy Items: Minimum Visits: To ensure the health and safety of your pets and home, my minimum visit policy is: • 1 visit/day for cat care and other small animals • 2 visits/day for dogs, 3+ are recommended. Photo Release: Unless you ask not to, all photos taken during your pawlz’ stay are eligible to be posted on Rover, Facebook (@sashaspawlz), Instagram (@sashaspawlz), or my website (sashaspawlz .com). Emergency Preparedness: It is the responsibility of the pet owner to ensure an emergency contact – ideally a trusted neighbor with access to your home – is provided for every reservation. This is to ensure that, if, for whatever reason, I am incapacitated or otherwise unable to provide care to your pets, they will be guaranteed food, meds, and a potty break. Meet and Greets: Meet and greets are offered at the pet owners’ preference. As they can be overwhelming, I will never introduce dogs during a meet and greet, my own included. For this reason, I do not conduct meet and greets inside our home. Once your pawlz’ stay begins, we do slow introductions. Any successful introductory process can take minutes to days; rather than forcing interaction, I prefer to let pups warm up to each other on their terms. Dogs who are good candidates for boarding in my home include those: • Not prone to separation anxiety – I am not home full-time and while I’m away [generally only a few hours at a time], dogs need to be comfortable crated without becoming nervous, destructive, trying to escape, or excessively barking. • Spayed females and un/altered males who do not have a habit of marking indoors. Things to make sure your pups pack for their stay: • Collar - with current tags • Enough food and treats for the entire stay plus one day - clearly labeled with feeding instructions • Medications/supplements - clearly labeled with dosage and administration instructions • An up-to-date Rover profile with care instructions and emergency/vet contact • Current vaccination records

Dog training and pet care is basically my way of life -- which is why I do what I do! Your pawlz will be loved on and cared for as though they were one of my own! We have a spacious backyard perfect for high-energy pups, and cozy spots for long naps. When the weather is less-than ideal, we also have a large dog room perfect for playing indoors. All dog-dog interaction in my home is closely supervised and monitored. If I am out for a period of time, all dogs are separated for everyone's safety and comfort. Thus, all dogs in my home must be crate trained.
