Hello, my name is Gemma and I'm 26 years old. I live near Winchester, VA (but am willing to travel!) and I love all types of pets! I have always lived with cats or dogs, and usually both at once. I'm very good with all sizes and breeds! Whether your pet just wants someone to play with them during the work day, or your pets need to be fed and walked, I'm happy to assist! I also have experience with house-sitting, so if you need people for overnight stays during your travels, I'm also happy to help out there. I love all kinds of animals and when I'm not scheduled for a job, one of my main hobbies is nature photography. Gemma took care of Madonna and Cole while we were away. She did a great job! Madonna had recently had surgery and needed some extra TLC but Gemma rose to the challenge and we felt completely comfortable leaving them for a weekend. Thank you, Gemma!!

I love all breeds, but my dog for the last few years was a 30 lb poodle-terrier mix, and he was especially cute, but I'm biased. I guess I like medium-sized dogs best, but you can never go wrong with a lab or retriever! I would like to know if your pet needs any medications to be administered, what their diet is like and if they have specific feeding times, if they are in any pain or have arthritis, if they have any anxieties (my dog had anxiety so I've definitely learned to be patient and calm), and what they like to do for fun (toys, tricks, etc.).
A typical day
I love learning about your pet's favorite toy and playing with them. I love cuddling and I'm very gentle and patient with all animals. But I also love taking long walks with the dog(s) and hopefully exploring a dog park in the area if your dog is okay with other dogs/being off-leash. I listen to owners carefully about what their pets want or need and I'm flexible with my activities based on that.
