Reliable dog walker qualified in Pet First Aid
Pet care experience
I am a passionate and reliable dog-walker qualified in Pet First Aid for Pet Professionals Level 3 (VTQ). After every walk, I will send you a map of where we have been, a message about what we did (games, training, socialisation with other dogs, etc.) and photos of your dog(s) having the time of their lives.
Reviews
Gemma was just fantastic! She handled our big, boisterous dog so well and went above and beyond in taking care of him. Would definitely book again and recommend to anyone!
Gemma was punctual, conscientious and friendly. She took good care of my elderly dog, including giving medication, and sent me photos of my dog at home and out enjoying walks. I have complete confidence in her and would recommend her to anyone who wants a pair of safe hands to take care of their dog.
Pepper loves Gemma-Claire! He had a great time, as he always does. She is very caring and conscientious. Would recommend every time!

Safety, trust & environment
I am qualified in Pet First Aid for Pet Professionals Level 3 (VTQ), so am trained to provide immediate response to any injury or illness that your pet experiences while in my care. I carry a dog first aid kit with me on all dog walks. Prevention is better than cure though, so I adopt a number of safety measures to help ensure that we need to use that first aid kit as rarely as possible. I offer a free 20 minute meet-and-greet to ensure that your dog is comfortable with me, and that I am confident I will be able to keep your dog safe. I do not walk dogs off-lead for at least their first three walks with me. After this, I will only walk dogs off-lead in parks or commons away from all traffic, with the owners' written permission, and when I am confident that the dog will return to me. I keep a close eye on the dog(s) throughout our time together, making sure that they don't eat or play with anything that could harm them.
Information Gemma-Claire A. would like to know about your pet
I am keen to know as much about your dog as you are willing to tell me, but at a minimum please let me know about any illnesses, allergies or injuries, how they react to other dogs, how good their recall is, and anything unusual that upsets or frightens them. I am always very happy for you to ask me to focus on certain activities or training, particularly if you have been working on something with your dog(s) so that I can support their ongoing development.
A typical day
We will visit the parks and commons near your house, ensuring that we do not repeat the same walk twice in a row. Tennis balls will always be available if your dog likes them. If your dog is working on particular commands, we will practice those (with reward treats provided if you give me permission to give them to your dog(s). If we come across other dogs, we will either play with them or avoid them, according to your preferences.
